Historical Covenant manuscript input review
Disposition: PASS. The C1101 prefix replays 170 actions and 425 checks with all 44 snapshots and current source copies verified. Six explicit step/version bindings are verified; C1090–C1094 make ten historical reads, and C1095 reads the current file normally. No completed journal record or numbered script was edited.
The frozen v1 and v2 JSON objects differ only in scope_note; their modules are identical. The old snapshot reproduces the exact SHA-256 already recorded in C1090–C1094. The current draft matches C1095's recorded SHA-256. The binding manifest does not authorize recomputation from normalized or reconstructed alternative bytes: the recovered snapshot must match the historical hash exactly.
The verifier validates relative path safety and containment, snapshot hashes, unique step/path bindings, declared source paths, and equality with each selected record's draft_sha256. Its read override applies only to the exact declared ROOT-derived logical path and its read_text/read_bytes operations. All original begin/finish, artifact, metadata, result, chronology, source and inverse checks remain active; replay writes remain blocked.
Negative tests ran in temporary fixtures or through the existing read-only replay adapter. Each rejected its intended defect: wrong version despite a matching snapshot hash; unsafe snapshot path; duplicate activated binding; altered snapshot; current file replaced by the old version; and missing historical binding. The last case still fails at the unchanged input/source metadata comparison. The current draft remained unchanged.
Exact results and file hashes are in VERSIONED_INPUTS_REVIEW.json; the full prefix report is prep/verify1101_versioned.json. These checks establish faithful replay of the recorded input versions, not new substantive research findings.
