# 490d C358 — Three-row E pattern and529 selector control

24 September 2026. Step 5 of 10 in the C354–C363 authorization.

**The three-row structure does not select the rectangle’s paired endpoint choice.** It occurs in nine admitted primary C319 controls across00,02,20,22. These are the same nine primary controls that can reach600 when already-valid600 inputs are allowed in C352.

| Added requirement | Surviving controls |
|---|---|
| Local three-row E structure |00:i3,i5,i7;02:i3,i5;20:i3,i5;22:i3,i5 |
| Its same-Gear MT Flood input equals R |00:i3,i5,i7;20:i3,i5 |
| Original regular side is2K |02:i3,i5;22:i3,i5 |
| Original complete all-K rectangle |22:i3,i5 |

The distinction follows directly from `R=F_same+b`. The new Flood-held E arrow uses F_same, giving `N−F_same=1060`. The original529 side requires b=2 and gives `N−R=1058`. Thus forcing those two Flood roles to be identical would select b=0, incompatible with the original2K side. Both source comparisons remain valid when their endpoints are kept distinct.

This is a useful negative selector result. A local source pattern cannot silently supply the missing rule coupling cumulative a with regular b. The existing all-K criterion still leaves the two primary22 controls; neither this census nor repeated source translations establishes that criterion as a textual prescription.

The distinction also suggests a more direct connection. The original primary side is460+598=1058. The two established local ratios send those legs to500 and600, which are exactly SP Noah→Shem birth and Shem birth→death. A continuous two-segment comparison can therefore be tested against actual source endpoints, without equating the two Flood nodes.

## Verification and limits

38 main checks and 16 frozen-input/predecessor authentication checks passed. A second main replay produced byte-identical DATA/RESULTS. These checks and the source interpretation were performed by the root agent; no new independent-agent review is claimed. All frozen originals and standing controls remain unchanged. Verification counts are not independent-witness counts.

The local three-row pattern is not a source-prescribed selector. Extra identifications are explicit added conditions and must not be silently combined with the original rectangle.

Mirror/529 focus: K=529, E=25/23, P=70/69. Global paired Mirror January AD1; local junction January AD2; no civil year zero. Regular Gears are Noah/Shem/Flood only. SP minus-one person companions remain local to SP Noah/Shem; Flood close is a separate boundary. No upstream/cumulative Gear, new endpoint or phase, fitted anchor, global axis, primer reopening, canonical or graph edit. Capture now; canonize later. Source identity, context, modal binding, generated coordinates and phase ancestry stay distinct.

## Decision after this result

**C359, proposed and unexecuted:** Test the source realization of the two-segment comparison460+598→500+600: apply E to the Noah-to-MT-Noah leg and300/299 to the following598 gap, keeping the join continuous and checking the resulting SP Shem birth/death endpoints.

The failed endpoint identification reveals the exact two-year distinction. The original partition and the established two ratios now give a concrete, finite source-endpoint construction to test.
