# 490d — Rounded chronology: strategy transition after C480

**Date:** 27 September 2026
**Status:** Research direction and bounded source intake; C480 remains the latest completed numbered report.
**Authorial direction:** Dean requested a return to the Research Strategy's larger objective and introduction of Files 51–52 with the new Rounded Whole-Span Inverse Detailed Study draft.

**Latest-file clarification — 27 September 2026:** The newly attached File_52c.Rounded_Whole_Span_Inverse_Detailed_Study_Draft (2)(1).md is the latest and most thorough File_52c and is the controlling research draft for this phase. Use it ahead of the earlier draft and this note's earlier summaries. “Inverse of the inverse” / second-order closure is outside the current scope.

## 1. Decision and research objective

Make Rounded chronology the next active research direction. Preserve C480's completed reduction of the 1150 inventory to four templates, and defer its proposed follow-on composition investigation.

C480 supplied useful compression: 51 coordinate pairs reduce to 24 + 24 + 2 + 1 source/context families. The strategic concern is the priority of further refinement. The Research Strategy §1 seeks the smallest state-aware generative grammar explaining the greatest amount of chronological structure. Its §§5–7 favor conserved quantities, relations among operations, reconstruction across families, and a short working notebook. This supports moving to a different but connected realization now.

The present judgment is based on the Strategy, the current C480 checkpoint, and targeted reading of the rounded files. It is not an assessment of the marginal value of every earlier C-series report.

The guiding question becomes:

> Which small set of source-derived rules explains the actual, rounded, cumulative, inverse, and Mirror structures together?

## 2. What the incoming files contribute

| Source | Contribution to the next investigation |
|---|---|
| File_51a, especially §§2–3 and 16 | Rounded begetting and lifespan constructions, their residuals, the regular 2700 trunk, the cumulative 12600 trunk, and their 9900 separation. |
| File_51b | Mirror and translation constructions, with the September 25 clarification distinguishing Rounded coordinate widths from civil counts. |
| File_52a, especially §§2, 5–7, 10–11 | Defined decimal reversal, whole-span and segmented constructions, the common 12026 endpoint, the 14726 extension, and the secondary 13016 branch. |
| File_52b, especially §2 | Source partitions and technical tables supporting those constructions. |
| Latest File_52c, Rounded Whole-Span Inverse Detailed Study draft | Primary synthesis for this phase: common-backbone and narrative relations, the 529 family, the qualified target-frequency study, and the added Actual-chronology 12026 BC continuation in §§3.13–3.15. |

In the active discussion, File_52c means the latest attached Rounded Whole-Span Inverse Detailed Study draft. Follow Dean's instruction to leave the older “inverse of the inverse” subject out for now. Retain the latest file's Draft status and its distinction between the author's strong assessment of the 12026 BC anchor and the partially explored wider interpretation.

## 3. A compact starting synthesis

### 3.1 Rounding can preserve a total while redistributing internal boundaries

File_51a §16.1 supplies 26 MT lifespans. Their actual and rounded sums are both **12600**. The rounded-minus-actual changes sum to **+12 − 12 = 0**.

Thus the cumulative construction offers an explicit conservation mechanism with an internal residual distribution. The regular begetting construction has a different residual: its six stated adjustments total +6 from Rounded to the strict actual comparison state. These are different measurements of the source rows.

Retain the file's separate rounding rules for begetting ages, regular theoretical deaths, and cumulative lifespans. The initial investigation can use the existing primary birth/event and cumulative tables without settling every terminal-date question.

### 3.2 The shared inverse backbone is a concrete cross-modal relation

Let I preserve trailing-zero placeholders while reversing the remaining decimal digits. The following are existing source constructions, selectively recomputed for this intake. All rebuilt endpoints are BC.

| Source partition | Forward components | Inverted components | Inverted total | Endpoint with 1406 held |
|---|---|---|---:|---:|
| Regular Creation–Flood–Conquest | 1650 + 1050 | 5610 + 5010 | 10620 | 12026 |
| Regular Creation–Noah–Flood–Conquest | 1050 + 600 + 1050 | 5010 + 600 + 5010 | 10620 | 12026 |
| Cumulative Creation–Flood–Conquest | 9170 + 3430 | 7190 + 3430 | 10620 | 12026 |

The mechanism can be written compactly:

- Regular trunk: **2700 + 7920 = 10620**.
- Cumulative trunk: **12600 − 1980 = 10620**.
- Their original separation is **9900 = 7920 + 1980**, with **7920 = 4 × 1980**.

This accounts arithmetically for where the two primary segmented constructions meet. Explaining why the source partitions supply these particular reversal gains is the deeper research question.

The marked Flood partition matters. Whole-span reversal gives I(2700) = 7200 and I(12600) = 62100, so the common endpoint is a property of the stated segmented constructions. The regular subdivision agrees because I(1650) = I(1050) + I(600) for these values; reversal is not generally additive.

The existing cumulative Shem and Noah subdivisions both yield **11610**, rebuilding **13016 BC**. This supplies a nearby, already documented alternative: it is 990 earlier than 12026. Include it in the small comparison so that the explanation accounts for both the primary convergence and the controlled branch.

### 3.3 The connection to the existing 529 research is immediate

The common inverse endpoint gives:

**12026 − 1446 = 10580 = 20 × 529.**

Two Priestly expansions give:

**10580 → 11500 → 12500.**

C480's complete sourced ladder has widths:

**1058 → 1150 → 1250.**

The rounded ladder is exactly **ten times** that width sequence. Both instantiate:

**k × 529 → k × 575 → k × 625**, under successive multiplication by 25/23.

This is an exact shared duration rule. It does not yet identify the source endpoints or expansion pivots of the two constructions. In particular, C480's complete sourced ladder uses its recorded pivots 3620 and 2756, whereas the rounded 10580 interval is measured to the Exodus. Comparing their source roles is a research task; the duration scaling alone does not establish equivalence of the full constructions.

This is enough to retain continuity with Mirror/529 while broadening the object of study.

### 3.4 The completed backbone supplies a second anchor relation

The admitted additional leg is **1406 → 6 BC = 1400**, whose inverse is **4100**.

Holding 6 BC gives:

**6 + 4100 + 10620 = 14726 BC**.

Consequently:

**14726 − 6 = 14720**, and **14720 × 25/23 = 16000**.

The 2700 difference between the two inverse endpoints follows from 4100 − 1400. The new draft also relates 14726 to inverse Shem, cumulative Flood, and expanded cumulative Creation. These provide the next contextual comparisons after the common backbone has been compressed into a clear explanation.

## 4. Use the three-axis sketch as the organizing hypothesis

The attached image is accessible and has been inspected.

| Axis | Working interpretation |
|---|---|
| x− / x+ | Ordinary regular and cumulative constructions / their Mirrors. |
| y− / y+ | The forwarded 529 family, including 4232, 8464 and 12696 / its Mirror. |
| z− / z+ | Rounded chronology / its Mirror. |

Following the image, the z-axis represents Rounded chronology. Its inverse constructions are operations studied within that family, rather than an automatically established additional dimension.

The diagram currently organizes related constructions. A mathematical three-dimensional model would require explicit coordinate maps and preserved relations. The useful next question is whether a common grammar explains connections among these families.

For pure Rounded displays, retain the September 25 convention: q(B BC) = 1 − B and q(AD A) = A − 1. Opposite-side Rounded width is B + A − 2; civil elapsed count is B + A − 1. The draft already identifies which examples use each. These established definitions can be carried forward concisely.

## 5. Next bounded investigation

**Re-scope the next C-series step to the Rounded common backbone, using the latest File_52c as the starting account.** Its expanded treatment must be incorporated when selecting the next unresolved question, including the Actual-chronology continuation at 12026 BC. The previously proposed C481 composition test is deferred; no C481 is claimed complete by this intake.

Produce one compact explanation using:

1. The source-derived regular and cumulative partitions above.
2. The 9900 gap, the 7920 / 1980 reversal changes, and the secondary 990 branch displacement.
3. The connection from 12026 to the 20 × 529 duration and from 14726 to the 16000 conversion.
4. A clear statement of what these relations explain, what follows from their definitions, and which source-placement relation remains unexplained.

The success criterion is explanatory compression across these families. Once that account is stable, use the draft's Joseph/Joshua and 1876/1846 relations to assess how widely it applies. Those examples are already explored material, so label such work retrospective reconstruction.

Carry the existing target counts and statistical qualifications forward as supporting material. A new target scan or repeated probability audit is unnecessary for this transition. The original whole-span survey, its segmented extension, and the selected cross-axis civil constructions retain their existing distinctions.

Keep regular Gear exploration confined to Noah/Shem/Flood. Upstream rounded source values can be read from their own tables without opening upstream Gear transport. Retain the quarantined primers and the established LXX/SKL supplements in their existing roles.

## 6. Verification and source record

Fresh work here comprised a complete reading of the supplied Strategy, reading of the current C480 checkpoint, targeted source review of Files 51a, 51b, 52a, 52b and the new draft, inspection of the axis image, and selective exact-arithmetic verification of the synthesis above. The 26-row lifespan sum and residual cancellation were recomputed from File_51a's table. The primary and secondary inverse totals and both expansion ladders were checked with integer and rational arithmetic.

The draft's full scan and the C480 evidence suite were not rerun. No whole-repository validation is claimed.
