# X Series Investigation of the 600 and 480 Year Blocks

**Date:** October 1, 2026. **Status:** Research continuation and source synthesis, with a bounded inverse comparison. Canonical files are unchanged.

The 600-year block is a strong local connector between the chronological families. Its most informative form preserves named endpoints and, where supplied, the internal division **480 + 120 = 600**. Cumulative MT Shem–Warning–Flood and regular MT Jacob–Moses–Conquest exhibit the same complete three-node structure. The SP supplies a further consecutive three-block corridor. Decimal inversion preserves an atomic 600 but changes its separately inverted 480 + 120 subdivision to 1050. The explanatory object must therefore retain the source roles and the permitted cuts, as well as the total.

The public research catalog inspected for this continuation contains 4415 records through C1634, with C1635 unexecuted, no X-series records, and no saved public notebook notes. No earlier X step number could be recovered from the available context. This report continues the requested X investigation under a dated subject identifier; it does not assign a predecessor or advance the frozen C-series checkpoint.

## The supplied examples and their arithmetic

All unqualified dates in the tables are BC. Same-side intervals use subtraction. The cross-axis example uses ordinary civil counting, with no year zero.

| Proposed block | Verified result | Scope |
|---|---:|---|
| Shem lifespan | 600 | Common selected Genesis lifespan; regular biographies and serial cumulative life intervals are different constructions. |
| Regular Noah birth to Flood | 600 | Matched source rail and declared Flood boundary. |
| Jacob birth 2006 to Conquest 1406 | 600 | MT full-430 Egypt frame. The supplied “2006 to 6” is treated as a missing 1400 because the named endpoint is the Conquest. Literally 2006 to 6 is 2000. |
| Exile comparison 606 to Nativity 6 | 600 | Appointed comparison dates, not a new derivation of their historical placement. |
| Restoration 536 to AD 65 | 600 | `536 + 65 − 1 = 600`; already connected to Shem in the C1634 synthesis. |
| Minimum Covenant 1866 to Temple 966 | 900 | The Covenant date is valid in the declared −215 state; the proposed 600 is an arithmetic error. |
| Abraham birth 2166 to Temple 966 | 1200 | `2 × 600`; this alone does not supply a named chronological midpoint at 1566. |
| Exodus 1446 to Temple 966 | 480 | Established Temple carrier; preserve the source ordinal/cardinal and phase qualifications. |

The Covenant correction is consistent with the existing source states: `2081 − 215 = 1866`, `2081 − 966 = 1115`, and `1866 − 966 = 900`. Relative to Abraham's 1200-year Temple interval, the combined displacement is `85 + 215 = 300`, leaving `1200 − 300 = 900`. No Covenant event at 1566 is introduced to manufacture a 600-year interval. ## The missing consecutive SP block

File_47 §13.3 already gives a particularly strong construction in its SP full-430, G1 primary comparison frame:

| Beginning | End | Years |
|---|---|---:|
| Shem birth 3206 | Shem death 2606 | 600 |
| Shem death 2606 | Jacob birth 2006 | 600 |
| Jacob birth 2006 | Conquest 1406 | 600 |
| Shem birth 3206 | Conquest 1406 | 1800 |

The overlooked middle block is **Shem's death to Jacob's birth**. Its significance is the continuous labelled path `3206 → 2606 → 2006 → 1406`, rather than three unrelated subtractions. File_18 §3.2.1 confirms the SP G1 primary biography in the native minimum frame as `2991 → 2391`; adding 215 to both endpoints recovers `3206 → 2606`.

This corridor is conditional on its selected state. With fixed Moses/Conquest anchors, the −215 Sojourn choice moves Jacob's birth to 1791, making `1791 → 1406 = 385`, and `1791 → 1526 = 265`. Shem's matched 600-year life survives; the Jacob-to-Conquest block does not. A uniform translation of both endpoints preserves an interval, whereas moving only an upstream endpoint changes it.

## The shared 480 and 120 division

File_63 §8.5 establishes the outer 600-year translation square. File_18 §6A supplies its internal Warning point and expressly records `4956 → 1526 = 3430`. Together they give:

| Cumulative MT selected upper member | Regular MT full-430 frame | Difference |
|---|---|---:|
| Shem 5436 | Jacob birth 2006 | 3430 |
| Ark Warning 4956 | Moses birth 1526 | 3430 |
| Flood/Arphaxad boundary 4836 | Conquest 1406 | 3430 |

Both paths have ordered widths **480 then 120**, totalling 600. The common translation is `3430 = 7 × 490 = 10 × 343`. This is a correspondence of three named positions, with cumulative Shem corresponding to regular Jacob, cumulative Warning to Moses' birth, and cumulative Flood to the Conquest. It does not identify those events or turn the cumulative serial stack into an elapsed narrative chronology.

The same block shape occurs in the Noah countdown model:

| Declared source state | First node | Middle node | Last node | Widths | Translation to Jacob–Moses–Conquest |
|---|---:|---:|---:|---|---:|
| Actual MT regular G2 | Noah 3058 | Projected Warning 2578 | Flood start 2458 | 480 + 120 | 1052 |
| Rounded MT regular | Noah 3056 | Warning 2576 | Flood 2456 | 480 + 120 | 1050 |
| Actual MT cumulative upper envelope | Shem 5436 | Warning 4956 | Flood boundary 4836 | 480 + 120 | 3430 |
| Actual MT cumulative Moses line | Shem 5431 | Warning 4951 | Flood boundary 4831 | 480 + 120 | 3425 |
| Regular MT full-430 frame | Jacob 2006 | Moses birth 1526 | Conquest 1406 | 480 + 120 | 0 |

The Warning allocations use the repository's Genesis 6:3 countdown model. Noah's projected Warning is not an independently established historical date. Rounding is not needed for the shape: the actual central cumulative line also gives 480 + 120. The particular 3430 translation belongs to the elected upper member, which co-registers numerically with the Rounded cumulative base. These equal coordinates retain distinct state provenance.

Jacob-to-Moses 480 also has an explicit source path: `91 + 39 + 350 = 480`, through Joseph's birth and Entry; row rounding gives `90 + 40 + 350 = 480`. Moses' 120 then completes the 600 to the Conquest. The cancellation of the two rounding residuals explains why this block survives row rounding. ## What is common across the manuscripts

The C1443 source comparison gives these selected Rounded Noah or cumulative Shem nodes and Flood seams:

| MSS and mode | Noah or cumulative Shem | Declared Flood seam | Matched interval |
|---|---:|---:|---:|
| MT Regular | 3056 | 2456 | 600 |
| LXX Regular, native Cainan ON | 3836 | 3236 | 600 |
| SP Regular, admitted comparison | 3706 | 3106 | 600 |
| MT Cumulative | 5436 | 4836 | 600 |
| LXX Cumulative, native Cainan ON | 6346 | 5746 | 600 |
| SP Cumulative, admitted comparison | 5316 | 4716 | 600 |

These are the existing comparative spine states, not a newly rounded complete SP genealogy. Their marker permissions belong to their source constructions. File_18 §6D separately retains the LXX chief cumulative Flood marker as Methuselah's death and states that the Arphaxad marker is universal. Do not infer that every use of the word Flood in every register selects the same endpoint.

Shem's selected 600-year life is shared in regular and cumulative measurements. Regular Noah's 600 years to the Flood supplies a corresponding boundary interval. In the cumulative stack, however, Noah contributes his **950-year life**, followed by Shem's 600. Thus cumulative Noah to the next Flood/Arphaxad seam is **1550**, as in `6386 → 5436 → 4836 = 950 + 600`. Noah's regular 600 must not replace his cumulative 950.

Matched Shem biographies remain 600. Cross-rail comparisons such as `2556 → 1958 = 598` or `2558 → 1956 = 602` are different endpoint selections. SP's local −1 person-station companions and the Flood's start/close distinction also require their stated bindings. This investigation introduces no Gear transport outside the established Noah/Shem/Flood domain.

## Other source connections worth retaining

| Connection | What it contributes |
|---|---|
| `5436 → 536 = 4900` and `4836 → AD 65 = 4900` | Translating both endpoints forward by 600 links Shem's cumulative life to the civil `536 → AD 65 = 600` interval. Already explained in C1617–C1619 and the C1634 synthesis. |
| `600 = 490 + 110` | File_69 supplies the weekly diagonal with Joshua's 110-year component. This is an alternative source division, distinct from 480 + 120. |
| `600 = 25 × (360 − 336)` | File_69 gives a calendrical interpretation: the difference between 25 prophetic and 25 priestly year measures. It does not make each 600-year chronology interval a literal calendar conversion. |
| `2166 → 2006 → 1526 → 1366 = 160 + 480 + 160` | The source-retained Abraham–Jacob–Moses–Joshua frame places the 480 block inside a symmetrical 800-year path. |
| `480 = 12 × 40`, with distinct `483` and `490` carrier states | File_63 explains the whole-year, phase and completed carrier relationship. Do not overwrite 483 with 480. |

Abraham's `2166 → 966 = 1200` also contains the known Jacob-to-Conquest 600. Its remaining exterior pieces are `2166 → 2006 = 160` and `1406 → 966 = 440`, totalling another 600. This explains a distributed two-block measurement without claiming that a dated event occupies the temporal midpoint 1566.

## The bounded inverse comparison

Use File_52c's one-pass placeholder-preserving decimal reversal `I`. Strip trailing zero places, reverse the remaining significant digits, then restore those places. Accordingly:

`I(600) = 600`, `I(480) = 840`, and `I(120) = 210`.

An atomic 600 is self-inverse. Its separately inverted subdivision gives **840 + 210 = 1050**, exceeding the atomic result by **450**. Thus subdivision and inversion do not commute. The alternative division also matters: `I(490) + I(110) = 940 + 110 = 1050`, the same transformed total but different internal widths. The source must appoint the original divisions before inversion.

Hold 1406. For each source triple `(A, B, F)`, first invert the original lower leg `F − 1406`, giving `F′ = 1406 + I(F − 1406)`. Compare the atomic head `F′ + I(600)` with the refined triple `(F′ + 1050, F′ + 210, F′)`:

| Original block | Atomic inverse endpoints | Refined inverse triple | Head change |
|---|---|---|---:|
| Noah `3056 → 2576 → 2456` | `7016 → 6416` | `7466 → 6626 → 6416` | +450 |
| Cumulative Shem `5436 → 4956 → 4836` | `5436 → 4836` | `5886 → 5046 → 4836` | +450 |
| Jacob `2006 → 1526 → 1406` | `2006 → 1406` | `2456 → 1616 → 1406` | +450 |

Each refined path has widths **840 then 210**. Jacob's refined head 2456 shares a coordinate with the **original Rounded MT Flood**. That Flood's whole-date inverse is 6416; the two roles must remain separate. The Jacob result follows exactly from the supplied 480/120 path and the held Conquest anchor.

Separately inverting every complete distance from the same anchor is a third operation, `J(x) = 1406 + I(x − 1406)`. Its outputs are:

| Source triple | Individually inverted triple | Signed successive widths | Signed outer width |
|---|---|---|---:|
| Noah | `7016 → 8516 → 6416` | −1500 then 2100 | 600 |
| Cumulative Shem | `4446 → 6936 → 4836` | −2490 then 2100 | −390 |
| Jacob | `2006 → 1616 → 1406` | 390 then 210 | 600 |

Whole-date inversion changes chronological order in the Noah and Shem triples. Shem's outer endpoints become 390 apart in the reversed direction. It is therefore false that every pair originally 600 apart stays 600 apart under anchored whole-date inversion. The held 1406 endpoint remains fixed and adds no statistical source. No output is inverted a second time.

## Why the transformed total does not select the cut

The equal 1050 totals have a simple decimal explanation. Suppose a 600-year block is split into `a = 10p` and `b = 10q`, where `p` and `q` are both two-digit cores ending in nonzero digits. Write those cores as `p = 10t + u` and `q = 10v + w`. Since `p + q = 60`, their units digits obey `u + w = 10`, and their tens digits obey `t + v = 5`. Reversal consequently gives:

`I(a) + I(b) = 10 × [10(u + w) + (t + v)] = 1050`.

All 36 ordered splits in this register share that result, or 18 unordered splits. Examples include 480 + 120, 490 + 110, and 430 + 170. Thus the matching total is generated by a decimal carry class; it does not independently prefer the Warning/Moses division over the Joshua division. Their named nodes and their different internal widths carry that explanatory burden. Outside this register the rule fails: `I(100) + I(500) = 600`, whereas `I(60) + I(540) = 510`.

This is a bounded compression result: one rule explains an entire class of transformed totals while leaving the source-position question open. It is not a probability claim about 36 independently selected ancient intervals.

## The reduced local account and the next test

The common three-position model is `(F + 600, F + 120, F)`. Translating its three members uniformly preserves its ordered widths 480 and 120. In units of 120 it is `(5, 1, 0)` measured backward from the lower boundary. This gives a compact account of the selected paths; it does not derive their absolute placement, select a Warning interpretation, or explain every genealogical source age.

The strongest support for the block hypothesis is now: **common source lives supply outer widths; appointed internal cuts supply transferable path structure; named junctions connect those paths across modes and MSS.** Repeated scalar 600s express several kinds of connection and are not independent statistical witnesses. The C1634 source-generation question remains open: this consolidation does not derive the already supplied ages or prove ancient scribal intention.

The next bounded X investigation should compare **source-appointed 480 + 120 and 490 + 110 divisions** across the selected 600-year paths. Freeze the permitted nodes and source states first, then test a source-qualified internal placement not used to select the partition. The shared 1050 total is automatic within its decimal register and cannot discriminate between those cuts. The central question is why a given source permits one internal division rather than the other, and whether its transformed junction meets a separately appointed node. Already reconstructed examples must stay classified as known evidence. If no unused discriminating placement is available, consolidate the grammar instead of calling another subtraction an independent test.
